DAY 1: WELCOME – SUMIDERO CANYON AND CHIAPA DE CORZO TOUR –TUXTLA GUTIERREZ

  • 12:40 p.m. Welcome at Tuxtla Gutierrez airport to begin the Chiapas tour. (We recommend scheduling your flight to Chiapas arriving between 12:00 and 12:20 hours).  Transfer to the pier. 
  • 1:30 p.m. We will take a beautiful boat ride to the majestical Sumidero Canyon on the Grijalva River, one of main natural attractions in Chiapas. On the way, it will be possible to watch different species of birds and with a little bit of luck monkeys and crocodiles.
  • 3:30 p.m. We will visit Chiapa de Corzo, a colonial magic town,  where you will have time to visit the main plaza, have lunch and taste typical dishes. Later on, we will take you to the hotel in Tuxtla Gutierrez to check-in and rest, arriving at 6:30 p.m. approximately.

DAY 2: ZOOMAT – SAN JUAN CHAMULA AND ZINACANTAN TOUR – SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS MAGIC TOWN

  • Breakfast at hotel. 
  • 8:30 a.m. We will continue our off the beaten path tours in Chiapas, visiting the ZOOMAT, a unique zoo because it is in an ecological reserve area and because it exhibits Chiapas’ species, in a similar environment that they enjoy in freedom, among them the quetzal and jaguar.
  • 11:30 a.m. We will visit a couple of traditional indigenous communities in Chiapas: San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan to know about their traditions. We will observe a mystical mixture of indigenous and catholic rites. In Zinacantan we will meet a local family and appreciate their handmade embroidery. 
  • 3:30 p.m. Return to San Cristobal de las Casas magic town, to have lunch and spare afternoon strolling trough the colorful streets, buy handicrafts, etc.  Hotel in San Cristobal de las Casas.

Day 3: EL CHIFLON WATERFALLS AND MONTEBELLO LAGOON TOUR – SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS MAGIC TOWN

  • Breakfast at hotel. Get ready to continue the Chiapas tour with incredible natural attractions.
  • 8:00 a.m. We will continue enjoying our vacations in Chiapas and the adventure begins in El Chiflon Waterfalls.
  • 10:30 a.m. You will have time to walk along the riverbank until you reach the Bride´s Veil Waterfall where you can take a plunge in the crystalline waters, or jump off the zip line (optional activity not included).
  • 1:00 p.m. We will move on to Montebello Lagoon Park. Be prepared to see the incredible watercolors surrounded by forests. You will have time to admire the landscapes, do some optional activity like horseback riding or kayak. We will have lunch there. Tip: optional activities cost is not included in the tour price. 
  • Return to San Cristobal de las Casas Magic Town, arriving at approximately 7:30 p.m. Hotel in San Cristobal.

DAY 4: SPARE DAY IN SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS MAGIC TOWN, CHIAPAS.

  • San Cristobal de las Casas is one of the most beautiful colonial city in Mexico. 
  • Breakfast at hotel and today is yours at leisure, and the options are endless. Let yourself be involved in our off the beaten path tours in Chiapas by the magic of this city full of history, traditions and great colorfulness. Walk through its cobble stone narrow streets, have a delicious cup of Chiapaneco coffee or do some shopping, because in San Cristobal de las Casas you will find most of the statecrafts at reasonable prices. You can also visit museums such as Amber Museum, Jade Museum, Coffee Museum, etc.

DAY 5: AGUA AZUL WATERFALLS AND MISOL-HA TOUR NATURAL ATTRACTIONS – PALENQUE MAGIC TOWN

  • Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast we will continue the Chiapas Tour.
  • 8:30 a.m.  Today you may enjoy the beautiful Agua Azul Waterfalls, of a singular beauty for its intense blue turquoise color of the waters, that run on limestone. There will be enough time to walk, refresh and have lunch. 
  • 4:00 p.m. We will continue our journey to Misol Ha Waterfall, a beautiful 30 meters high waterfall and that has a path that will take you behind the curtain of water. We will arrive at Palenque Magic Town at 6:00 p.m. approximately. Hotel in Palenque.

DAY 6: VISIT TO BONAMPAK AND YAXCHILAN ARCHAEOLOGICAL ZONES IN LACANDONA JUNGLE – USUMACINTA RIVER – PALENQUE MAGIC TOWN

  • 6:00 a.m. Depart the hotel. Today you’ll set out to explore more in this Chiapas Tour.
  • 7:15 a.m. Buffet breakfast included in the middle of the Lacandon jungle restaurant. We will continue going into the Lacandon jungle to visit two archaeological zones: Yaxchilan and Bonampak.   
  • 9:30 a.m. We will visit Bonampak where we will see antique mural paintings that will take us to the past of the fascinating Mayan culture. 
  • Later, we will go to Frontera Corozal where we will take a boat along the Usumacinta River to reach one of the main tourist attractions of Chiapas, the lost city of Yaxchilan, one of the most beautiful cities of the Mayan Culture located on the riverbanks, surrounded by a thick vegetation.
  • 4:00 p.m. Lunch time in Frontera Corozal and then return to Palenque Magic Town, arriving at approximately  at 7:30 p.m. Hotel in Palenque

DAY 7: ARCHAEOLOGICAL ZONE OF PALENQUE – PALENQUE AIRPORT – END OF SERVICES.

  • Breakfast at hotel. Last day of this incredible Chiapas tour.
  • 8:00 a.m. We will visit one of the main tourist attractions of Chiapas: the archaeological zone of Palenque, one of the most important cities of the Mayan culture. We can explore and visit the Temples of the Skull, Temple of the Inscriptions, Temple of the Red Queen, Temple of the Crosses as well as the Main Palace of Palenque. There will also be time to visit the museum in site, where a replica of the Pakal tomb is found, one of the principal discoveries of this mythical city. 
  • Afterwards we will be transfered to Villahermosa airport, arriving at 1:30 p.m.
